PPCN
- A PPCN is required whenever there is a change to the design or production process.
- Examples include: a new supplier of subcomponents, change in inspection or testing method, rearranging production machinery.
- Any changes affecting customer requirements like fit, form, function, performance, durability, etc.
- Changes to the design require approval from DTNA engineering
- DTNA engineering are the only ones that can approve a change to a part, after getting their approval submit the PPCN.
- Depending on the change, a new PPAP may get requested for the part.
- The AIAG PPCN form can be found on page 63 & 64 of AIAG’s Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) Fourth Edition NOTE: DTNA’s PPAP System only allows one attachment. Combine the PPCN form with any other documents planned for submission into one file.
- The AIAG PPCN form is required when submitting a PPCN
