PPAP Due Dates
- Do not wait until the due date to submit the PPAP, submit the PPAP as soon as it is completed
- The due date of the PPAP depends on a few factors
- If the PPAP is tied to a tooling PO, the tooling due date is the PPAP due date
- You can check this by checking the PPAP request and looking to see if there is a tooling PO assigned
- A source of RRRC will mean the PPAP is tied to tooling
- To adjust these due dates, you will need to use the tooling dashboard
- PPAPs with a source of Corporate or Resource the due date will be tied to the changeover or pre series date.
- Corporate or Resource PPAPs can have a tooling PO, verify if they have one before taking further steps to attempt to change the date.
- Non tooling corporate or resource PPAPs will have a due date that is set 4 weeks prior to the changeover or pre series date, whichever is soonest.
- DTNA launch and change management controls these dates
- PPAPs with a QE or PPCN listed as the source, the due dates are set by the DTNA QE.
- These PPAPs are usually created for a specific reason most commonly from a PPCN that has been submitted.
- The due date will be set to the date that is listed on the PPCN form
- If the change is taking longer than anticipated, you will need to contact your QE by sending a comment in the PPAP system.
